Chef-N-Tech
A program designed for youth in marginalized communities featuring well-known chefs and tech executives. The ultimate goal of the program is to teach attendees culinary skills while introducing the most relevant facets of the tech communities, including AI, Fintech, Healthtech, and electric mobility. Attendees will be served up with opportunities in dual tracks, which will prepare them for internships, college choices, and future employment. First Stop, Los Angeles, CA, August 2024.
Black Girls Code
Since 2011, Black Girls Code has engaged girls of color with computer programming education to nurture their careers in tech. They partner with schools, local organizations, and dedicated volunteers to offer in-person and virtual learning opportunities for girls and women of color aged 7-25. Their programs go beyond coding skills, equipping participants with the knowledge and confidence to realize their dreams.
National Urban League
Founded in 1910 and headquartered in New York City, the National Urban League spearheads the efforts of its local affiliates through the development of programs, public policy research, and advocacy. Today, the National Urban League has 92 affiliates serving 300 communities in 37 states and the District of Columbia, providing direct services that impact and improve the lives of more than two million people nationwide
St. Jude
The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of their founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.
